About Us
Harbin Normal University Star College (HNUSC) is a new and dynamic private college located in the northern part of Harbin, Heilongjiang Province. Its original name was Sino-British Harbin Star Foreign Language College (HSFLC) and dates back to 1993，establishing “ Giving the students and society what is needed most” as its mission statement.
Relying on its foreign language teaching expertise and experience in adopting overseas educational concepts, both foreign language skills and learner’s independence have been a primary goal for all students.
Having a thorough understanding of the job market as well as keeping a close contact with industries, allows the undergraduate programme to focus on students ability and skills in the fields of their future choices. Besides, it helps students to fulfill their intellectual and personal potential, and thereby benefit society. Thus, all major subjects are specially designed to highlight skills orientation leading to a strong employment competence.
Working closely with its overseas partner institutions, and, with a view of “thinking global, acting local”, HNUSC has purposefully tailored programmes to best comply with Chinese students in the learning process and, therefore, maximize the satisfaction of the learner’s needs.
At present, HNUSC’s student population has reached 7000, and they are from over 30 provinces across China.
HNUSC at present consists of five faculties, which offer a range of undergraduate programmes. |
